Cannot Set the Time for a New Meeting

I cannot set the time or date when I click on a new meeting or new appointment request in Classic Outlook. It always defaults to the start time configured for my workday and cannot be changed and the date is set at today's date. If I double-click on a date in my calendar to create a new meeting, it works correctly. It defaults to an "all day event", but I can unclick this and I can set the time or even a different day, if desired. It only fails when I use the "New Meeting" or "New Appointment" button in the task bar. Can you help me fix this issue?

Vivian.Y - MSFT, I don't think you understand the problem we are having. Though the drop down do in fact drop down and you can click on the correct time or date, it does not save it. The drop down box looks a bit different than normal too; like something is wrong. It will not let you actually change the time or date in a new appointment nor an existing one.

Anyone find a solution? All new appointments default to workday start. I can SOMETIMES go back and edit the time AFTER creating it with the wrong time, but sometimes I just have to schedule from my phone instead as this is only a problem on desktop.

Vivian, my problem is exactly as Tammy Davidson describes. When I click on a New Meeting or New Appointment, I get exactly what Tammy describes and shows in her response, not what you show in your image. There are 4 drop down boxes: two for Start Time with a separate box for Date and Time and a two for End Time with separate boxes for Date and Time. The is NO calendar icon. There is only a check box for "All day event". I can click on any of the boxes and choose a new date or time, but my choice is not saved when I make it. The time or date just goes back to the original default setting. If I go to a specific date and time in my calendar and double click to create a new meeting, the dialog box has the correct date and time in the drop down boxes, but if I try to change the date or time through the drop down boxes, the changes are not saved.

Similarly, if I double click on an existing meeting, I get my usual four drop down boxes for Start Time and End Time in the dialog box for the meeting, but I cannot change any of the dates or times. The drop down boxes show a full list of times and dates, but when i pick one, it isn't saved. The time and date stay as they were for the original meeting.

Please let me know your thoughts.
