Azure Cost Management - Cost Analysis Question

We have initiated several internal high-priority processes to track and optimize our Azure cloud spend. We are in the process of tagging our resources to allow for cost categorization, visibility, and eventual chargeback to LOB’s. As part of this process, we have used both the extracts from the Cost Management module as well as the PowerBI Cost Management connector to create dashboards. As a result, we can identify about 60% of our resources (based on total cost) and have validated that they are tagged correctly. However, there remains a large group of resources that show as “tags not supported” “others” or “untagged”, which is preventing us from categorizing them further.

@Michael Brunak , thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A for this question.
Note that - not all resources in Azure support tags. Some of these resources are created as part of other resource creation/update operation. For details, please see Tag support for Azure resources.

Also, to understand tag usage in Cost Management & Billing, please see - How tags are used in cost and usage data

Please let me know if you have any questions.
