How to Include Original Email When Replying to or Forwarding It
Using Outlook Version1.2025.109.100 (Production) and Client Version 20250110003.19, I noticed a very recent change of behaviour. The change may have coincided with the last Windows update - both were very recent.
The old behaviour was that when replying to or forwarding an email, that email was included in the response. The new behaviour is that it is not.
I looked at the Settings, specifically Mail/Compose and Reply, and saw nothing that looked like it would help me change it back.

2025-01-23T12:52:09+00:00 Dear Dan Bracuk,
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.
I understand the situation you described. Currently, the version shown in the following picture is used on my test device, and it can display the original email when replying/forwarding. I've compared it with your version, and the version in the picture is a bit more updated. Please try using the newer version of New Outlook to check if the original email can be displayed.
If the original email still doesn't show up, please check if there are three dots below the email that might be hiding the original email. If so, clicking on them will display the original email.
Since I haven't reproduced your problem, I hope you can cooperate with me to troubleshoot this issue. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you for sharing more detailed information with me. I'll keep an eye on this thread and give a further reply as soon as possible after receiving your reply. I'm looking forward to your reply and wish you all the best.
Best Regards,
