Can I use new Outlook without an email account

I have just changed to Win11 with Office 2024 which has the new Outlook program. Previously I was using Office 2021 in Win10 and was able to load Outlook without an email account by running - outlook.exe/PIM No Account*.* just for Contacts and Calendar.( I use Thunderbird accessing my email )

I would like to use New Outlook for the same purpose ( just People and Calendar ) and have tried - outlook.exe etc -but this does not now work.

Does anyone know if it is still possible to use new Outlook without an email account.

I would like clarification on this answer. I have the same situation as the OP. I use Classic Outlook (part of ms 365 on windows 11). I use Thunderbird for email and I only use Outlook as a PIM for calendar and contacts which I sync to my iPhone with iCloud for Windows. ← This is a vital component of my business...

Are you saying that it is no longer possible at all to use New Outlook as Personal Information Manager without an email account? i.e. there is no ALTERNATE command to install without an email account??

If that's the case, I can live with setting it up with email and just not using it, but to be clear, the NEW OUTLOOK will still work with iCloud for Windows. Correct??

    Dear Keith Cunningham3,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to use New Outlook without adding any accounts, which you were able to do previously with a command in Outlook 2021.

I would be happy to help you, but unfortunately this command is not supported for New Outlook, which is a separate application from Classic Outlook in the Office suite and works in a completely different way. Therefore, the command you used before should only work with the Classic Outlook application.

I noticed that you are using Office 2024, if you purchased Office Home & Business 2024, Classic Outlook is included and you should be able to run Outlook using the same method. if you purchased Office 2024 Home Edition, Classic Outlook is not included in the package.

I hope my reply answers your questions. Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards,
