Disable Alt+S shortcut to send message - need step by step instructions for Outlook 365

Hello,

I have found several threads trying to disable the alt+s shortcut that sends an email. Apparently there is no normal way to turn off this shortcut.

The solutions I've found are not clear enough for me to follow, or are in very old posts. It seems like the only solution is to go through Windows Registry which I am not familiar with.

Can someone please provide me with step by step instructions on how to disable this shortcut?

There's an option in Settings to turn off the cntrl+enter shortcut to Send. Why can't we turn off this one?? From what I can see, a majority of users dislike this and there are complaints about being unable to turn it off going back over 10 years....

    Thank you! I followed these steps. Unfortunately this did not work and alt+s still Sends after restarting.

    In your instructions, should Value data be set to "1" or to the superscript "1"? I don't know how to format it as superscript in that field.

    The default selection was "hexadecimal" though I also tried "decimal" and it didn't work either.

    Let me know what else I should try, thank you!
