Why is my Outlook all of a sudden not opening?

My Outlook has always opened fine. Over the last couple of weeks it will not open normally (not even in safe mode) and I am having to do the windows repair option in settings. I've done both (quick repair & online repair). I have also tried the Classic Outlook Profile Set Up Troubleshooter. Trouble shooter came back as there was a problem running the trouble shooter, try looking for other solutions. When Outlook does open, it will send mail fine one minute and then the next minute it will not send any mail. Receiving seems to be fine.

I am running MS Office 2016 Professional Plus (on my personal account) through MS 365 platform (on my 365 business account). I have been using Outlook desktop applications (Office in a box, now a digital download). since 1998. I have never run into so many issues. I've gone years without any hiccups at all. I feel like my Outlook is unstable or maybe it is a 365 compatibility issue, not sure. Trying to figure out how to correct this or understand why this is happening. Maybe Office 2016 had a lot of bugs.

NOTE: Support has not ended for this product yet as MS extended support for Office 2016 through 2025. Cannot remember which month. Maybe August. I'm still receiving Office updates. Thanks for your assistance.

    HI, I could have written this same post! Mine has been behaving super weird all of a sudden this year, after years of no issue at all. My outlook now won't load emails at all .. or doesn't send emails.. something feels insecure. I wonder if you got anywhere resolving it Victoria?

    It seems like your Outlook program is not opening as a result of the weak internet connection or your device has a little storage left. Try to log out of your Outlook account and try to access the account once again. Plus, if the program is not working, then check the Windows device OS update and ensure it is running on the current versions. Also, talking to the Microsoft team could be a better idea to get a profound understanding of how to fix this issue of yours.

    I understand that your Outlook is not working properly and that this is causing you problems and I understand how you feel.
