I am trying to recover my hotmail account. I get a code sent to my outlook account and then I successfully go through the "I'm not a robot" app, it, says success with a green checkmark, but then it just hangs there. So I cannot proceed. If I do try again, it says I have requested a code too many times. I have been trying for a week to reset my password and get into my account.

method, I gave the last 4 digits of my phone number and I get this. I only have an email and my phone number to use. I don't have another method.
Hi Rick_937,
Thank you for posting here in Community.
I can see how exhausting it must be to keep trying for a week without progress. Rest assured, you’re not alone in facing this kind of issue, and we’ll go through some troubleshooting steps to help you regain access to your Hotmail account.
Understanding the Issue
You're successfully receiving a recovery code and passing the "I'm not a robot" verification, but the process stalls and doesn't let you proceed further. When retrying, you eventually hit a limit on code requests, preventing further attempts.
Troubleshooting Steps to Try
Give these steps a shot, and let me know if you need more help! Hopefully, this gets you back into your account without more hassle.
