Outlook calendar and other functions shut down Outlook

Hi,

The new Outlook has recently broken itself.
For some reason, the calendar changed time zones and completely messed up every appointment and reminder I had stored. When I noticed the time zone had changed, I changed it back to my time zone, but the appointments and reminders are just wrong.
This is particularly upsetting for the details I had stored for the upcoming first anniversary of my brother's death.

The time zone hasn't changed itself again, but whenever I try to enter a reminder or appointment in the calendar, Outlook just closes.
I can't even leave feedback - Outlook just closes.

It's bloody annoying that I left feedback about these problems during the roll-out of the new and "improved" Outlook, yet it was forced upon us with nothing done to correct these in-built faults.

Does anyone have any suggestions, other than find a different personal information manager?
Could anyone suggest a personal information manager that actually works?

    How did we get here?
Microsoft forced the new Outlook on us and then buggered it up.
Their response is that we have to fix it ourselves by deleting everything we trusted them to store for us.

And they expect us to pay for this level of fuckwittery?

    Hey Luk,

I tried every link and download from your link and got the following message
"there are no products affected by this package installed on this system"

I still have a microsoft product that is as useful as used toilet paper

    Hey,

Check this article and install updates - should fix the problem. https://www.neowin.net/news/kb5002623-microsoft-fixes-office-outlook-word-excel-kb5002700-hangs-and-freezes/

Thank you so much Luk. I've got the update, installed it and Outlook (and Word) are now working as normal!
Spent yesterday uninstalling updates trying to fix it... without success.

    All good now.

Thank you for your prompt response.

I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling later today when I have more time.

I was led to believe classic Outlook (previously used for many years) was no longer an option and new Outlook was my only option. I'll look into the possibility of reverting to something that worked.

What's particularly annoying is that the new Outlook worked quite well until recently. I liked the look of it. Now, Outlook even sends Microsoft emails, including your response, straight to the junk email folder.
    Something is very broken!
    Thanks again.

    Regards

    Doug

Same sort of issue started about a week ago on my laptop (Dell inspiron 7620 intel core i7-12700 with 14 cores). Started doing the same thing on my desktop (Dell XPS 8950, Intel core i7-12700, 12 cores)

All the mail functions work well but if I open the calendar, Outlook freezes up and shuts down in about 10 seconds.

Also there is no share function. Only the option to print the calendar is in the share tab. It was an important part of my work schedule communication protocol to the team.....

I would try to publish it to a cloud server myself, but it won't stay up to try. testing Thunderbird. It's not crashing but also does not support sharing, I can link to my other personal computers but not the team. Might be able to publish to the cloud though.

I have been using Outlook since the 90's too bad you guys are downgrading it. I will just have to write my own calendar app.

For now, I will try uninstalling and reinstall as suggested.
