My ipad does not get access to my email from my hotmail.co.uk account all of a sudden. I have checked the setting, delete the email account and add it back but it still does not work. please advise.

    Please help me. My iPad is ruing OIS 18. I have tried to delete my hotmail account and even my outlook account but it tells me when I try to add it that the account already exists.

    Please help me. My phone is 3025401132

    I have done everything as suggested and it works fine for awhile then it takes me to the Microsoft sign up page. I feel like it’s encouraging a paid account.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Well, iPad OS 15 is a little bit too old, unfortunately. :(

    So, yes, this would be a major cause to your issue.

    If you still want to use mail app on your iPad, you will have to upgrade your iPad OS to 17 or 18.

    If you don't want to upgrade your iPad OS, you can try to use Microsoft Outlook which you can get free from App Store.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    As a matter of fact, recently a lot of users are responding that they are experiencing the problem of not being able to sync emails or add accounts on their mobile devices (iOS is the majority), which may be a popular issue, maybe you need to wait for Apple to fix this issue, in addition, you can also try the following suggestions to try to fix this issue.

    Please use Microsoft Outlook on your iPad to send and receive your email normally for now, sorry for the inconvenience :(


    You can still see the instructions below if you want.

    Have you readd your account in the right way? Try to re-add your hotmail account in mail app on you iPad again under the instruction.

    1. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts. If you are using iPadOS 18 you will need to find Mail inside Settings > App.
    2. If you already have your account, tap your mail address and delete it first.
    3. Tap Add Account, then select your email provider, Select Outlook.com (the most imoprtant step)
    4. Enter your email address and password. Server setting will be automatically detected for you.
    5. If you see Next, tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account.
    6. If you see Save, tap Save.

    Also please make sure your iPadOS version is not lower than iOS17, (18 is preferred)

    Thanks for your explanation . My ipad is iOS version 15, do you think that this is the reason that the access of email does not work all of a sudden soon after Microsoft upgrade their software.

    If this is the reason, does it mean that the only solution is to replace with a new iPad of version 17 or 18?
