Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Don't get me started on banks. Wells Fargo, in the name of marketing, started sending me alerts for deposits with the amount of the deposit and my checking account balance in an unsecured email. A year earlier, a bought a "security key" so nobody could get in my Microsoft account. I checked with them to make sure it was allowed, but "strangely" after I followed all the procedures, it wouldn't work. Just by mere coincidence, Microsoft contacted me about their version. So, I researched their version, and it was a mess. So many complaints of people being locked out of computers.
Just in case you need to protect your social security number(if we even have SS very much longer), you can freeze it by calling the 800#, but the problem is, to remove the freeze you have to go to a designated SS office and need a LOT of identification.
In 5 years 1 guy has been able to get past the FIRST step of signing in my account, there are 2 more steps.
