When will Microsoft update Windows 11 to add the quick print option?

Windows 11 is regressing instead of moving into the future. I often must print 10+ pdf files at once. I now have to open each one, print, then close before moving to the next one.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thank you for your response.

You can try these workarounds below to print 10 or more PDF files at once.

    Using Windows File Explorer:

    • Place all the PDFs in the same folder.
    • Select multiple files (Ctrl + Click or Ctrl + A).
    • Right-click and choose Print (this works if your default PDF viewer supports batch printing).

    Using Microsoft Print Queue:

    • Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your printer and click Open queue.
    • Drag and drop multiple PDFs into the queue to print them.

    1. There is no print option under Show More Options in the right click menu.
    2. My default pdf viewer is Adobe
    3. I shouldn't have to use a third party for a tool that is essential to computer usage and that Microsoft had in it's previous version of Windows.
    4. What do I need to do to get the request numbers required to press Microsoft to make this very necessary update to return the 'print' option and 'move' option back to the right click menu?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and making community posts.

While Microsoft hasn’t officially announced an update to restore or improve the quick print option in Windows 11, there are some workarounds you might find useful.

    1. Check the "Show More Options" Menu – Windows 11 condensed the right-click menu, so the print option might be hidden under "Show more options" when you right-click a file.
    2. Change Default Apps – If Microsoft Edge is set as the default PDF viewer, the print option might not appear. Changing the default app to another PDF reader could help.
    3. Use a Batch Printing Tool – Some third-party apps allow bulk printing without opening each file manually.
    4. Look for Future Updates – Microsoft may address this issue in upcoming updates, but there’s no confirmed timeline yet.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
