Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately it absolutely has impacted my workflow & I’m very disappointed that Microsoft have removed the feature.

How do I change default so that attachments are sent as file copies and not as a link from OneDrive on New Outlook?
The issue here is how to change the default (I know how to manually change options each time I send an email)

Hi Amy,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community
I understand the convenience when we set all files send as copy instead of link. However, in the New Outlook, unfortunately, there is currently no built-in setting to make "Attach as Copy" the default behavior when sending files from OneDrive or SharePoint.
Additionally, I’m really glad to hear that you’ve found a way to manually switch the option when needed. It’s great that it hasn’t disrupted your workflow too much.
I completely agree that it would be a very helpful feature to have. Hopefully, Microsoft will consider adding it in a future update. In the meantime, I’d encourage you to share your feedback directly through the Feedback Center. Ideas · Community

Hi Amy,
I completely agree with your concern that having to manually switch to "Attach as Copy" every time is far from ideal, especially when working with OneDrive or SharePoint files. It would be great if Microsoft added a setting to make this the default.
In the meantime, please submitted feedback through the Feedback Center. Hopefully, with enough user input, this feature will be prioritized in future updates.
