Can we confirm or deny that Microsoft Billing won't send a random calendar invite to someone? Something I can tell clients, so they delete right away.

Just like the IRS says they will never call you and you know to ignore the scam calls. Can Microsoft let us know that they aren't opening invites so we can have users ignore the calendar invites?

Hello, my name is Femi. I'm an Independent advisor and a Microsoft fan like you. I know how frustrating this can be and I'll be happy to help you out today.

It’s safe to tell clients that Microsoft Billing will not send them random or unsolicited calendar invites. If users get a calendar event from Microsoft that is about billing, invoices, or account activity, and they did not ask for it, it is very likely a phishing scam. Microsoft won’t ask for payment, check account details, or discuss billing issues by sending calendar invites. Such invites should be deleted right away, without opening the links or attachments. Microsoft will only put billing events in your calendar if you have set up a meeting, for example, for customer support or a webinar. Microsoft offers useful information on phishing at this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/pro.... Be careful when you get a calendar invite that wasn’t planned.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best Regards

    Femi S.
