This is the most ridiculous reply. Did you see what the post was about and read it? I am unable to sign in so why are you asking me to sign in to my account to chat to an agent. I can’t sign in this is the issue! Could someone please help me I need things in this email ASAP. I tried calling and just got a text with the same link asking me to sign in for help. Honestly this is madness, infuriating and terrible service to have no support what so ever
Locked out of my Hotmail account & the account text code system saying it’s not available now
Can someone please help me before I have a breakdown as going round in circles here and no way to contact support! My main email signed itself out on my phone out of no where and then wouldn’t accept my password even though it’s correct. I have tried the resetting password but noticed the alternative email I have made a typo and ended it with .co.uk rather than .com. My phone number is current but when I try and get the code via text to recover the account it just says “sorry this service isn’t working” which is ridiculous. I have tried the recovery and it’s saying I can’t get in as my answers don’t match. I made this email when I was 16 and am now 35. It’s my main email which is now an issue as I can’t get in. All the answers I have provided are what they would have been at 16 my address my first pets name etc but what it wants email addresses I have emailed and the exact subjects I have sent recently. I don’t use this email for sending emails so I don’t have this information as I use my “grown up” account for sending emails. Is anyone able to help. Honestly I’m so stressed and having no online support for this is making things worse.

2025-03-16T02:27:18+00:00 Is the new account you created a Microsoft personal account? For example: **@outlook.com
You can usually contact Microsoft online support during local working hours.
You can send relevant screenshots to let me know where your problem occurs.

2025-03-03T14:05:38+00:00 I have created a new account and tried clicking on the link you provided but it doesn’t do anything then times out. Been trying all day. Have also tried doing so on my laptop and it does the same thing it just won’t load and says “our services aren’t available right now”. Do you have any other ideas this is becoming a real issue and I’m losing the will to live 😩 I need to get into my hotmail account ASAP

2025-03-03T08:29:04+00:00 My answer above has clearly stated to you that the community forum does not provide account recovery services. All I can do for you is to guide you to contact online customer service. Microsoft does not provide telephone support for personal Microsoft accounts, you can only contact them through online chat.
My red words above have clearly stated that you need to log in to a Microsoft personal account that you can access, not to log in to a locked account. If you do not have a Microsoft personal account that you can access, you can create a new Microsoft personal account or borrow a friend's Microsoft personal account.

2025-03-03T07:37:27+00:00 Dear Bethany Cosmos,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Your account was suddenly logged out on your phone. When you logged in again, the system did not accept your correct password. When you reset your password, the phone verification failed and it showed that this service does not work. I understand your feelings very well.
Recently, a large number of users have reported this problem in this community forum. It may be that there is a malfunction in the Microsoft account system. We are collecting information and reporting it to Microsoft.
If you cannot unlock your account, I suggest you fill out this form to report it to Microsoft. Microsoft-Services Account Reset
Since the account problem involves your personal privacy, community support staff do not have the tools to view your account status, nor do they have the authority to directly restore your account. I hope you understand!
All I can do for you is to guide you to contact Microsoft Online Support for further help. The steps are as follows:
- Open the website: Contact - Microsoft Support
- Enter your question to search and Click "Sign in to contact Support" at the bottom of the page.
- Log in to an accessible Microsoft personal account. School and corporate account will not work.
- Under Products & Services, select "Other Products".
- Under Categories, select "Manage account security", and click Confirm.
- Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".
Note: Please contact support during business hours.
Wish you all the best!
Best regards
