I have tried to search under your support and it says to wait awhile due to system network issue.

i have also tried on different laptops. still fail.

in the end, i tried to request different sign-in options, where it sends a code to another email, only then that it can enter into my hotmail. but problem is, this email belonged to my daughter, and it is not good for me to trouble her all the time.

any other ways that i could sign in easily?

    Good afternoon,

I am trying to log into my Outlook account but each time a page appears saying, "Too Many Requests". This happens on both my Mac and my iPhone.

I have tried different browsers, different servers (Wi-Fi and 4G) and have deleted my cookies, browsing history and cache, yet I still cannot access my account.

I have also struggled to reach support, as I need to log-in to do so.

Can you please advise what options I have?

    Kind regards,

    Thomas Roberts

    Hello Poh,

Experiencing the "Too Many Requests" error when attempting to log in to your Microsoft account can be frustrating. This issue typically arises when the server detects an unusually high number of requests from your IP address in a short period.

Here's how you can address this problem effectively:

    1. Wait and Try Again

The simplest and often most effective step is to wait for a while before trying again. This error is usually temporary and resolves itself after a short period. Waiting for about 15-30 minutes before attempting to log in again can help.

2, Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can help resolve many login issues, including the "Too Many Requests" error:

    • Go to your browser settings.
    • Find the option to clear browsing data.
    • Select the cache and cookies to be cleared.
    • Restart your browser and try logging in again.

Sometimes, the problem may be specific to the browser or device you are using. Try logging in using a different browser or device to see if the issue persists. Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster.

Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues.

Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

3, A stable internet connection is crucial for a smooth login process. Ensure that your internet connection is stable and try logging in again.

    4. Turn off the VPN software in your computer if you have one,

The last step is important because there are a lot of people who use VPN to cause the IP address to change around, the account will be determined by the system as abnormal activity, do you use VPN?

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the "Too Many Requests" error and successfully log in to your Microsoft account. If the problem continues, feel free to let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
