    Dear customer,

    Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

    For this issue: The credential is invalid. Unexpected sub status (6008).

    Common Solutions

    1. Clear Cached Credentials

    ++Open Control Panel.

    ++Go to User Accounts > Credential Manager.

    ++Remove any entries related to your email account under Windows Credentials or Generic Credentials.

    ++Restart Outlook and try adding the account again.

    1. Registry Fix (Windows Only)

    ++Open regedit.

    ++Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity.

    ++Create a DWORD EnableADAL and set it to 0 (disable ADAL) or 1 (force-enable).

    ++Restart Outlook.

    1. Verify Account Type and Settings

    ++Verify if the account uses multi-factor authentication (MFA).

    ++Check if there are any security policies affecting authentication in the new Outlook.

    Best regards,
