Where did the option to create a new folder go in Outlook 365?

Hello,
I want to create a new folder in Outlook 365 (personal inbox account) and I no longer see the option there. The option that appears there now is "Go to Groups", which is located underneath all of the previous folders I created. I still have the ability to create subfolders but I'd like to create a completely new folder.
Was this setting moved to a different menu or removed completely?
Is there a limit to how many folders one can create in Outlook 365?

Please kindly advise

ah, just figured it out. Right click on Folders, not Inbox, & it gives you the option to create a new folder. Would be nice if the updates told us what they are changing.....

I have the same problem. When I right click the inbox, it gives me the option of creating a sub folder, but I want an independent folder, easy to find (I can't find the sub folder, though it is apparently there somewhere)

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using Outlook 365 (OWA) and it is a personal account. I've included a screenshot of the left navigation panel of my Outlook account. There used to be link that read "New Folder" located somewhere near the bottom of the all the existing folders. Please see screenshot below.

Also, when I right click on the Inbox, I only get the option to create a subfolder as shown in the 2nd screenshot below.

What I'm trying to accomplish is create a folder for a rule to direct incoming emails to this specific folder. Upon clicking around the Sweep menu, I did see the "Create new folder" option, which does allow me to create the desired folder. This is shown in the screenshot below.

I'm wondering if this option has been moved or removed from the left navigation panel and can only be accessed through the Sweep menu.

    Thanks!

    Dear Ozzie_Koz20

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

According to your description, you then Outlook can't create new folder, only go to group option is it?

I would like to confirm some information with you about this issue:

    1. What is the mailbox extension you are using? (Outlook/Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo)
    2. Is your mailbox for company/school use or personal use?
    3. Where exactly on the left side of Outlook did you add the folder?

I have tested that there is no actual upper limit for new folders, and also I can create new main folders in Outlook 365 by right clicking on the mailbox, while right clicking on folders such as the inbox normally creates new sub-folders, for your question, if you can, please provide a screenshot of the above query as well as the error where the problem occurs, so that I can get an accurate picture of the Problems.

Feel free to text back if you need further help.

    Best wishes
