When can we expect new version of outlook to support desktop notification for rules?

One of the most useful feature of outlook classic is the desktop notification for rules, it is disappointing that it is not yet supported in the new version. I can see people are posting about it since long but still I think it's not there in the roadmap. It would be helpful if we could know when we can expect this feature.

    Hi Shakkir Moulana,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.

    How are you today?

Regarding the article you shared Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 we have just checked and my apologies if my response is not what you were hoping for, but at the moment, the product team has not provided any updates regarding the addition of desktop notifications for rules in the new Outlook.

The desktop notification for rule-based emails, a much-loved feature in Outlook Classic, is currently not supported in the new Outlook for Windows. This has been a common concern among users, especially those who rely on rules to organize incoming emails into folders.

Microsoft does pay close attention to user feedback, especially when it gains traction. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to upvote and comment on the feedback post below to help raise visibility: Ideas · Community

The more feedback they receive, the more likely it is that popular features will be prioritized in future updates.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regard,

    Hi Jay-Hu,

Please refer the below link. I didn't mean normal notification, I meant the notification of mails that has outlook rules.

    Hi Shakkir Moulana,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you!

Based on your description, may I know if you would like to receive a desktop notification for new emails in the New Outlook for Windows version?
Feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong.

If that is match with your concern, you can try this following step to turn on the notification:

    1. Open New Outlook application.
    2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon) > General > Notifications > Enable to toggle to turn on notification.
If you are still having issue with desktop notification. Make sure that Outlook notifications are enabled in your Windows: Start > Settings > System > Notification > On.

If your scenario is different from the above, kindly provide us more details about your query.

    Looking forward for your reply!

    Regards,
