Hi Phil,
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
We've seen a few users report similar issues, so you're not alone in facing this challenge. However, there is no specific article from Microsoft has officially guided that users can fully disable "Draft with Copilot" feature in the new Outlook. Referring here, Microsoft shows that "Draft with Copilot" is a core part of the experience in supported Microsoft 365 apps which means this feature is integrated as a built-in feature. However, there are some workarounds you can try:
- TEMPORARILY hide: this may hide the prompt temporarily but it might reappear in future sessions. Click the Copilot icon in the email editor and select Turn Copilot Off for drafting.
- **Submit Feedback to Microsoft:**Since this is a user concern, Microsoft encourages users to submit feedback directly through Go to Help> Feedback in Outlook. Mention that you'd like an option to disable or hide the "Draft with Copilot" feature.
- Switch to Classic Outlook: If you find Copilot distracting, you might consider switching back to the classic Outlook interface, which may not have Copilot integrated as prominently.
I hope this information is helpful. Please don’t hesitate to reach out again if you need further assistance.
