Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Hi Chloe - I have tried already all of the above.
- Recovery form does not work as it says I have two step security and hence they do not recover email in that case
- I have waited days before re-trying and similar issue
- I have been using the same wifi I have used for years
- I agree, but first I need to recover access to my email
- It asks me for a 25 digit code I have no clue about
What other options are there?
I still have access to my email trhough my mobile app as I never logged out, is there a way to change security settings there or password? I tried changing the password but it does not seem it is possible
Mattia
Sorry. Just noticed this abandoned thread.
The account recovery form is the only way to recover this account.
How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account
Sorry again but...
Microsoft Support contacted via phone or chat won't be able to help you with this.
In this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/contacting-support-for-a-microsoft-account-bb65aa6a-9135-31df-0b36-d6318d6f4e0f
is the warning that
"Important:****To protect your account and its contents, our support agents and advocates are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details."
I've seen a number of posts recently saying that recovery using a phone number simply isn't working. I've not seen a workaround.
