I can't sign into my outlook account, it won't authenticate

My account won't authenticate when I try to link it to Gmail and it won't allow me to add the account to the outlook app. I can't access my emails at all.

    Hello Charmaine Anderson,

    Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

    If I get you correctly you are unable Gmail account to your Outlook app, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

    If you are trying to add your Outlook or Microsoft account to Gmail:

    1. Go to Gmail Settings > Accounts and Import > Check mail from other accounts.
    2. Click Add a mail account.
    3. Enter your email address and follow the prompts.
    4. If it fails, make sure:
      • You have enabled IMAP in your Outlook account settings.
      • You are using the correct app password if you have two-factor authentication enabled.

    For Outlook App:

    1. Open the Outlook app.
    2. Go to Settings > Add Account.
    3. Enter your email and password.
    4. If it fails:
      • Try removing and re-adding the account.
      • Make sure your device’s date/time is correct.
      • Restart the app or reinstall it.
