    Hi Mahadev,

Thanks for your question. Emojis should work by default in Classic Outlook for Windows, but here’s how to make sure they’re enabled and usable.

How to Use Emojis in Outlook:

    1. Use the Windows emoji shortcut

While composing an email, press: Windows key + . (period)

→ This opens the emoji picker instantly.

    1. Ensure you're using HTML format

Go to File > Options > Mail

→ Under “Compose messages,” make sure the format is set to HTML.

Emojis may not display properly in Plain Text mode.

    1. Update Windows and Outlook

Some emojis require newer Unicode support. Make sure your system is up to date.

If this solves your issue, please consider clicking “Mark as Answer” to help others find it easily.

Let me know if you're using a different Outlook version (e.g., New Outlook or Web), and I’ll tailor the steps accordingly.

    Best regards,

    Thu-D/Microsoft Community Support Specialist
