I posted about a month or so ago that the new outlook email had stopped working with my Charter internet account which I had. I double checked all my settings and password within my Charter account when setting up and it still would not setup my email.
I tried setting up the email a couple of days ago and it is working again, so I thought I would share the steps I took. They may work for you and then again they may not.
First, I'm running an MSI computer with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F 8-core processor. It has Windows 11 Home 24H2 installed on it with an OS build 26100.3624. My first step was to make sure my Windows had the latest updates installed. Then I completely deleted my email account from my system. Next, I right clicked on the start menu and went to "system" which brings up a long menu. You can check your OS build here and other info about your system. Here on top Microsoft wanted me to setup a phone number to be sure I always had access to my system and could recover it in case something happened. I had seen this before but thought I did not need this because it seemed an unnecessary step to me. Well, I did complete this step this time around and I'm not sure if it helped me get my email back working or not but I have tried several times before without completing this step and my email would not setup properly and when I completed this step it setup properly. From here I clicked on "accounts", and you can see your email account if you did not fully delete it off your system, which I suggest doing above before starting this process. Here one can setup the email account anew and hopefully it will now work.
Be sure to get your email setting correct before starting this process. I have mine written down so I know what they are should something happen. If you don't know where to get these settings and still have your old email setup you can bring up your email then click the gear looking icon in the upper right corner. If you put your cursor on it "settings" should appear before clicking on it. From here click on "accounts" then on the right window you should see your email account and click "manage". Scroll down to the "advanced setting" section and under it should be all the setting you will need to re setup your email account. If you're not sure your setting are correct check with your provider.
Hope this works for you because these steps got my charter email up and running again.
