    Dear ScoutPhan,

    Welcome to the community!

Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot your issue:

Firstly, Exporting Contacts from New Outlook:

    1. Open Outlook and Access People:
      • Launch the new Outlook app.
      • In the left navigation pane, click the People icon (two silhouettes). If it’s not visible, click More apps, select People, and optionally pin it by right-clicking and selecting Pin.
    2. Export Contacts:
      • On the People page, click Manage contacts in the toolbar at the top.
      • Select Export contacts from the dropdown menu.
      • Choose to export All contacts or contacts from a specific folder using the dropdown under “Contacts from this folder.”
      • Click Export.
    3. Save the File:
      • The contacts will be saved as a .csv file in your Downloads folder.
      • You can open this file in Excel or another spreadsheet program to verify the data. Avoid saving changes in Excel to prevent formatting issues for future imports.

Secondly, Exporting Emails from New Outlook:

    1. Export Mailbox via Settings:
      • Open the new Outlook app.
      • Click the Settings (gear icon) in the upper-right corner.
      • Navigate to General > Privacy and Data.
      • Click Export Mailboxes. This process may take up to 48 hours, and you’ll receive an email with a link to download your mailbox content as a .pst file.
      • Note: This method exports all mailbox data (emails, contacts, and calendar items) but requires patience due to the processing time.
    2. Alternative: Use Classic Outlook for .pst Export:
      • If you have access to the classic Outlook (available in Microsoft 365 or older versions like Outlook 2019/2021), toggle to it by disabling the “New Outlook” switch in the app.
      • In classic Outlook:
        • Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
        • Select Export to a file > Outlook Data File (.pst).
        • Choose the account or specific folders (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items) to export, ensuring Include subfolders is checked.
        • Select a save location, name the file, and click Finish. Optionally, add a password for security.
        • The .pst file will include emails, contacts, and calendar items, which can be imported to another Outlook instance.

    Lastly, Exporting Calendar Data:

    • Use the Export Mailboxes method above (includes calendar data) via Settings > General > Privacy and Data.
    • Switch to classic Outlook and follow the .pst export steps described above, selecting the Calendar folder during the export process.
    • For individual calendar events, manually save events as .ics files:
      • Open the Calendar in new Outlook.
      • Select an event, click File > Save As, and save it as an .ics file. Repeat for each event (this is time-consuming for large calendars)
