    Hi Colton,

    Nice to meet you!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you're looking to insert equations into emails using the new Outlook App but have noticed that the traditional Equation Editor appears to be missing. I’m happy to clarify the current capabilities and offer some workarounds.

As of now, the new Outlook for Windows does not include the built-in Equation Editor that was previously available in classic Outlook or Word. This feature is still under consideration for future updates, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps shape product development.

While native equation editing is not yet available in the new Outlook app, here are a few alternatives that you can try:

    1. Use Word to Create the Equation

    • Open Microsoft Word.
    • Go to Insert > Equation or press Alt + =.
    • Create your equation using the editor.
    • Copy and paste the equation into your Outlook email.

Note: This works best when the recipient is also using Outlook or Word, as formatting may vary across email clients.

    2. Insert as an Image

    • Create the equation in Word or an online LaTeX editor.
    • Take a screenshot or export it as an image.
    • Insert the image into your Outlook message via Insert > Pictures.

    3. Use Unicode or Symbol Shortcuts

    • For simple math symbols (e.g., ±, √, ∑), you can insert them via Insert > Symbol or use keyboard shortcuts.

We value your feedback and encourage you to submit a feature request through the Microsoft Feedback Hub. Your suggestions directly influence future updates and help improve the experience for everyone.

If you require advanced formatting regularly, you may consider using classic Outlook or Outlook on the web, which may offer broader formatting tools depending on your environment.

Please let us know if you need further clarification or assistance. I really appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you further.

We hope you have a great day!

    Warm Regards,
