    Hi, MARIE-CLAIRE DAVID

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I realize that you've encountered a problem when sending or receiving emails in Outlook and you met the "0x80040115" error.

Try starting Outlook in safe mode and see if that solves the problem. Press Win + R, type outlook.exe /safe, and press Enter.

    Change the Outlook profile settings:

    • Open the Control Panel and select Mail.
    • Click “Show Profiles”, select your profile, and then click “Properties”.
    • Select “Email Accounts”, select your Exchange server account and click “Change”.
    • In the “Microsoft Exchange” box, select the “Security” tab and check the box “Encrypt data between Microsoft Exchange and Outlook “.

Disable Add-Ins: In Outlook, click File > Options > Add-Ins. At the bottom of the screen click “Go” and disable all non-Microsoft add-ins.

Repairing an Outlook installation: Open the Control Panel, select “Programs and Features”, find Microsoft Office or Outlook, click “Change”, then select “Quick Fix”. Repair".

Sincerely hope that it can be helpful to you and please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

Cece | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

Thank you very much! During that night (in France!), the problem was solved on its own (after a few error messages during the exit of outlook regarding the cancellation of mails)... Anyway, I am very grateful for your quick response to my problem! I hope it won’t come out! Have a good day wherever you are!
