In the New Outlook, the Flag option is not available when composing a message, how do I get this feature back?

I am using the Desktop Option

This was available in my previous version.

As of right now, I can only Flag and email for follow up after it has already been sent.

I have to go into my sent messages at the end of each day and mark emails for follow up.

This only adds another dozen tasks to my day instead of making it easier which I believe was the purpose of the update.

I have today found the same problem.

When composing a new email in New Outlook, there is no "flag" option in the ribbon.
Yes, there is still a "flag" option on my Inbox ribbon, so I can flag emails that have been sent to me, however this is not what I am trying to achieve.

I am sending a new email to others, and wish to include a flag on that email to prompt recipients to reply by a specific date.

Thanks for the update on the New Outlook Flag / Reminder feature. I checked the roadmap and it shows a reminder feature to be added in May 2025 for the Apple version. Will the option to add a flag / reminder when CREATING a new email be offered for the PC in 2025?

Currently, the email (in New Outlook) must be sent and then flagged in the Sent Items folder. Clicking My Day to bring up Tasks is a good way to find a flagged email or through the filter.
