What program replaced Microsoft Office Document Imaging? I am needing to find a program that will let me highlight portions of a scanned document in tiff format. Is there a replacement or what program can I use?

What version of Office is installed on your computer?

If you’re using Office 2007 try the following steps.

    1)   Click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Tools

    2)   Now check if you’re able to find the shortcut for Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI)

If you’re still not able to find it then try the steps given below.

    1)   Close all Office applications

    2)   Click on Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features

    3)   Look for the suite of Microsoft Office 2010 on the list

    4)   Right click on the Microsoft Office 2007 suite and then click on ‘Change’

    5)   Click on ‘Continue’ on the next window

    6)   Now click on the arrow next to ‘Microsoft Office’ in the tree list and then click on ‘Run all from my computer’

    7)   Click ‘Continue’ at the bottom and let the installation complete.

Now try the steps mentioned in the previous section and you’ll find ‘MODI’

It seems that MODI has gone for good.

If all you need to do is annotate multipage tiffs then http://www.yukudr.com/multipageimage/index.php?software=8&action=dl

will do the job and looks a lot like MODI, so there should be few training issues to worry about. It does not however output

to Word.If you want an OCR solution that will output multi-page TIFF to Word then investigate ABBYY Finereader.http://www.yukudr.com/multipageimage/index.php?software=8&action=dl
