First, what happens if you close the Excel window, preferrably without saving, then reopen the Excel file?

Second, if that does not remedy the problem, what happens if you restart your computer, then reopen the Excel file?

Finally, what happens if you disable macros, then reopen the Excel file?

The latter step is not suggested as solution to the problem; you might need macros to be enable eventually.  Instead, it is suggested as a diagnostic approach, a way to isolate the problem perhaps to a misbehaving macro.

If the last step "corrects" the behavior of ctrl+C, I would suspect an errant event macro.  Are you familiar with how use macros?

If not, it might be easier to help you if you put the Excel file on a file-sharing web site.  Some people have suggested the following free file-sharing sites:

    MediaFire: http://www.mediafire.com/

    FileFactory: http://www.filefactory.com/

    FileSavr: http://www.filesavr.com/

    FileDropper: http://www.filedropper.com/

I have no experience with any of them.
