Tables with repeating headers and page numbers

I have a table with repeating header rows. The header row looks something like this: "Table Title, Page 1 of 5"

I can't get the page number fields to update for each page, like a header in a document would work. Word is just using exactly what the table header on page 1 looks like, so every page of the table says "Page 1 of 5". Is there a way to get fields to update in a table header the same way it works in a document header?

A table header won't behave like a document header; table headers are supposed to be identical on each page where they occur.

What you can do is place the table in a separate section, unlink headers, and add the page number in the actual header for that section.
