VBA Converter for Office 2010 Pro Plus x64

I'm getting the following error when trying to run an old add-in in Office 2010 Pro Plus x64:

Opening the VBA project in this file requires a component that is not currently installed. The file will be opened without the VBA project.

For more information, search Office.com for "VBA converters"

I searched the Office site and wasn't able to find anything outside of articles related to Office 2007. Since I had this same issue in Office 2007 I tried implementing the hotfix KB926430 which didn't work.

Is there an Office VBA Converter Pack for Office 2010 Pro Plus x64 or what other solution can be suggested?

As I suggested to Jason, send me the file and I will take a look.  Jason did not take me up on that offer.

If you send a copy of the Add-in to me at dkr[atsymbol]mvps[dot]org, I will look at it in various versions of Word in an attempt to determine which component it is that might be missing.

The instructions are in there for Office 2010 but this doesn't work for the Office 2010 64 bit version. It does contain how to implement it for a 64 bit OS and 32 bit Excel 2010. I tested just to make sure.

As specifically stated in the KB:

Note The VBA Converter Pack is available only as a 32-bit download.A 64-bit version is not available for the 64-bit version of Excel 2010. As a workaround, you must use the 32-bit version of Excel 2010 with the 32-bit VBA Converter Pack in order to open and migrate your existing files. After the code is migrated, you can then use the workbooks in the 64-bit version of Excel 2010.

Thus this isn't an answer for the Office Pro Plus 2010 x64

They had updated since the last time I downloaded it. I do appreciate the suggestion.

It just looks like Microsoft has put something into their code that they don't really support.

Yes there is! The 2007 converter pack contains instructions for 2007 & 2010 as I've just found out. You have to download the hotfix frrom the following location...

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926430

    Hope this helps!
