I have been writing a document in Word 2007. I placed endnotes in the document. I made some changes in the endotes and what to remove the line at the beginning of the page. How do I do it?

In the View tab, click Draft.

In the References tab, click Show Notes (if you have both Footnotes and Endnotes, click View endnote area).

Use the dropdown box at the top of the notes area to select Endnote Separator.

Select the line shown and delete it.

In the View tab, click Print Layout, and the line should be gone.

For some suggestions about handling (repurposing) the Endnote Separator, see http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/NoteSeparators.htm

As long as you delete the endnote marker in the body of the document, the corresponding paragraph in the endnote area should also disappear.

    Mr. Tyson

I hope I do not sound like a total dumbell but here goes: I have been working on a document where I use both endnotes and footnotes. I got to the bottom of the first page and the last footnote rolled over to the top of the second with a continuing line. I did not want that so I eliminated some spacing in the document and fit  the footnotes

Now I cannot eliminate the line on the second page. I went to to "view" but I do not show "draft"

so now what do I do?
