Creating print ready PDF for a business card in MS Publisher

Creating a Business Card from template

I am using a template to creat a business card. But now want to send it to a printer for printing, so want to save it as print ready PDF, with just one on the page - correct size, with trim marks.

But it automatically saves as an A4 page, with multiple cards on the page (which printers don't accept)

Assistance gratefully accepted.

Save as PDF, Options, Print Options, Paper size, Custom, Type 8.7 x 5.08, check crop marks.

What template are you using to print the business cards?

Usually business cards are designed to print multiple copies on a sheet. Try to choose one copy per page in printer properties and check.

Also refer the link on how to set the print setup to print business card with Publisher.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher-help/print-different-labels-name-tags-or-business-cards-on-the-same-sheet-HP010120807.aspx?CTT=5&origin=HA010090746

Note: The article talks about Publisher 2007, but the same concept hold good for 2010 as well

Thank you Mary... I had been fiddling around all afternoon, and was getting close.

Also - if I save colours to CMYK and save as PDF, would most commercisl printers see that as a totally print ready file (if this is an area you have expertise in ?)

    Thanks - Steve
