Where is the Nudge tool that was formerly on the Drawing Toolbar in PPT 2000?

Just started using Office 2010 Professional and I cannot find the Nudge tool in PowerPoint.  Has that been eliminated?  I use it a lot!!!  In PPT 2000 it was under the drawing toolbar, along with Align, etc.

Thank you.

Hi,

The nudge tools are still here: Choose File, Options, Quick Access Toolbar and from the top left dropdown "Choose commands from" pick Commands Not in the Ribbon.  Scroll down until you find Nudge Down, Nudge Left, Nudge Right and Nudge Up.  Double-click each one to add it.

Regarding the keyboard ways, in addition to those mentioned by Echo you can press Alt+Left or Alt+Right  to rotate your object.  To rotate it slowly you can press Alt+Ctrl+Left or Alt+Ctr+Right.

You can also use Shift+Left, Right, Up and Down Arrow keys to increase or decrease the size and Ctrl+Shift+Left, Right, Up or Down Arrow to size in smaller increments.

It's just your arrow keys on your keyboard. If you have Snap to Grid turned on, the nudges might be pretty big; you can press CTRL while pressing the arrow to make the nudges smaller if you need to.

Yeah, I hear you. And wow, 2000 to 2007 is quite a jump!

One thing that's not obvious at all -- if you need to nudge a chart on a slide, you must press and hold CTRL before clicking the chart. So, press and hold CTRL, click the chart, then release the CTRL button. At that point,  you can use the keyboard arrows to nudge the chart.

You know, maybe the nudge icons on the QAT allow you to nudge the chart without pressing CTRL first. Hm. I might have to look at that, although I know I won't want to take up space on my Quick Access Toolbar for nudge tools.

Thanks, Echo.  I suppose I would eventually have found that out when I take the time to view the various training videos, but I am in a hurry to complete several presentations, using my knowledge and experience with Office 2000 only.  I was somewhat alarmed to think I could not use my old friend the Nudge tool.  It's really quite handy.

    Thank you again.
