margin corners show as visible lines

In Word 2007, SP2, in print layout view, margin corners appear as short, light gray lines. I expect and wish to see nothing but a blank page.

Have encountered this a number of years ago, but forget the solution. If memory serves correctly, it has something to do with language or locale settings, but these are set to Canada and English, so I don't know what else to change.

Can someone provide the solution?

Thanks

In Word 2007, go to Office button > Word Options > Advanced and scroll down to the "Show document content" section. Uncheck the "Show crop marks" box.

If the box was already unchecked, visit http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371 and follow the instructions to remove any Asian languages from the Enabled Languages list.
