Our school district updated from Office 2007 to Office 2010.  Calibri font printed fine to all network printers using Office 2007.  Now when users use Calibri (default font) some characters do not print on some printers-both Dell and HP

After some long testing, adding the fonts on the server was way off. Here is what fixed it for us:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/960985

To work around this issue, install the Complex Script support files. To do this, follow these steps:

1.     Click Start, and then click Run

2.     Type intl.cpl, and then click OK.

3.     Click the Languages tab.

4.     Under Supplemental language support, click to select the Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai) check box.

5.     When you receive the following message, click OK to close the message:

You chose to install the Arabic, Armenian, Georgian, Hebrew, Indic, Thai and Vietnamese language files. This will require 10 MB or more of available disk space. The files will be installed after you click OK or Apply on the Regional and Language Options dialog box.

6.     Click OK to close the Regional and Language Options dialog box.

This fixed the problem we were having with the calbri font not printing correctly in office 2010.

Make sure that the printers are set up to use downloaded fonts and not internal font sets. Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed.

I know this solution sounds weird but we are having the same issue at our school district with Calibri font. The way we fixed this was to install office 2010 on our print server. This replaced the fonts on the server, and the problem with missing characters in Calibri. We have to do some more testing but I Believe you could just copy the Calibri fonts from the c:\windows\fonts folder and install them onto your print server’s fonts folder. I will update with the new tests that we are doing but for now at one of our schools it is fixed.

We are having the same issue in a school district where replacing and updating print drivers on the server does not always work. How do you revert the calibri version from 5.62 back to version 5.0?

We have this same issue and the proposed answer did not resolve the problem for us.  I have a case open with MS and the only thing that has helped thus far is an idea that I came up with...replacing the Calibri version 5.62 included with Office 2010 with the the version 5.0 Calibri font of Office 2007.  That fixed the issue for us.   This only happens with Office related products and the new version of Calibri.  If I go into the font viewer and print the entire Calibri font from windows...it prints out fine.
