I am trying to get the practice files for Step by Step Excel 2010.  I go to go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?Linkld=191751, as instructed in the book and all I get is a Bing search engine.  How do I download the practice files since a CD is no longer furnished?

I got the same issue, however, I tried typing the web address with a capital "I" and I was able to bring up the instructions for downloading the practice files as well as download the practice files.

Try typing the following web address:

    go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=191751

    I hope this helps.

I am having the same problem.  I see an answer here about downloading from "oreilly".  I'm sorry but that doesn't sound Microsoft official enough.  I do not want to download and unzip a file that I do not trust the source of.  An official response from Microsoft is warranted here.

Why in the heck would they put out a book and then give a bougus web site address for the practice files, of which the books are useless without, and not post a correction.  I purchased both the Step by Step Excel 2010 and Word 2010 and both books have this error in them.

I have sent off an email to Microsoft and hopefully I will get some sort of response before I turn gray.

Can you tell I am a bit irritated?!?!

Check Microsoft Press site where it states 'Microsoft Press books are now distributed by O’Reilly Media.'
