Is MSWord portable legal to use?

Is "msword portable" (sometimes called thin application) legal to use? I see a lot of claims saying it is legal to use since it is not installed in the computer. If it violates microsoft's EULA, can the company still be held liable if the thin application is stored on a personal flash drive?

Thanks in advance :-)

To the best of my knowledge Microsoft has never made or released a portable version of Office 2007.  What you're looking at is almost certainly NOT legal and may well be hacked and infected with malware.

If you talking about Office starter portable then it should be legal.

Oh, yah, this is a hack

<snip> No installation, no cracks, no activations,</snip>

"No activation" there isn't a chance in H*E*.... that MS would release an "activation" free version of 2007. They've been doing all they could to tighten up activation.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is ..."

The only portable version of Office that MS has made is 2010 Starter. And I'm not exactly sure how portable it really is.
