When I type (c) in an Excel cell, it returns the copyright symbol. I want (c) to appear, not the symbol. How do I do that?

When I type (c) into a cell in Excel 2003, the copyright symbol is returned. How do override the symbol insertion so that (c) is visible in the cell?

Your AutoCorrect is changing the (c) to ©. You can reverse it on-the-fly by typing,

    (·c·)·<space>·Ctrl+Z·<enter>

Alternately, you can remove that entry from the AutoCorrect entries or disable AutoCorrect completely thorough Tools, AutoCorrrect Options.
