You could use a paragraph border. The Style list box in the Borders tab of the Borders and Shading dialog contains some "fancy" lines.

Occasionally I like to insert a graphic between larger sections in a document. I love to use bars, like used to appear all the time on those individual Geocities websites in the 90s. I could settle for some fancy, wavy lines.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything like this in MS Office. Is there a gallery somewhere I can download a few of these images from?

You can use the Borders dialog to insert a separator. Click on the
Horizontal Line button at the bottom of the dialog, and you'll get a new
dialog with a large selection of separators. Alternatively, you can search
clip art for "divider" (this will bring up all the separator lines from the
Borders dialog as well as some art that might better be described as
"borders" or "decorations").
