When I use find/replace it highlights in a pale blue color which is sometimes hard to see.  Can this color be changed?

Using word2007, windows XP

Thanks

Find and replace uses the most recently chosen highlighting color selected in the Font group of the Home tab. Change that color before finding and replacing with highlight formatting.

More specifically, for a global change in the highlighted color of a document in Word 2010, I found the following sequence to work:

    1. Choose the present highlighted color (yellow, for example), then open Find and Replace, place the cursor in the Find box, and select Format/Highlight. Note that no word to find need be typed in the Find box.
    2. Change the highlight color (to green, for example).
    3. Place the cursor in the Replace box, and select Format/Highlight.
    4. Replace all.

All yellow highlighting becomes green highlighting.

Note that the Highlight selection needs to be cleared (click Format/Highlight again, twice to get past "no highlight").

This is complete balderdash: The color is always a pale blue when jumping around a text with "Find and Replace" no matter which color I've used last.

"What others have described (and was perhaps the OP's concern not clearly articulated in the first post) . . . "

Yeah, . . . nice try, blaming the questioner.

I understood the issue perfectly: The questioner was asking about the pale-blue highlighting which appears automatically in some case when jumping around a document in "Find and Replace."  Is there any way to change THAT color?

Your fellow M. V. P. did not understand the question.

Need to change the temporary highlight color for Find and Find/Replace that shows the location of the searched item not change the background color. The current selection color is yellow and does not work well with some text colors if the searched text is inside of a word.
