How to Rotate Text with Object if the Degree of Rotation is Between 0 and 45 Degrees or Between 45 and 90 Degrees in Word 2003?

The article below was helpful as far as it went. I can now rotate text with the object, but seem to be confined to 45 and 90 degree rotations. But how can I rotate text to degrees in between as I can with the objects? Otherwise it won't always match the degree of the object's rotation.

MS OFFICE INSTRUCTIONS ON TEXT ROTATION

To rotate the text in a text box or AutoShape, click the text, click Text Direction on the Format menu, and then click the orientation you want. Using the Rotate or Flip command (Draw menu on the Drawing toolbar) causes only the object, not the text it contains, to change its direction.

You can't - Word does not support rotating text freely.

Do you have Microsoft Publisher? That program does support it.

Actually, rotation in Word 2003 is limited to 90 degrees in either direction (45-degree rotation is not possible). Text in text boxes, frames, and tables can be rotated using the Text Direction command.

If you have Publisher, there are many templates set up to do just this. In Word you will need to create a single-row table with as many columns as you want tear-offs. Type or paste the phone number/email in each one and use the Text Direction command to rotate it. You can select the entire row and change the text direction for all the cells at once.

    Hi T Beach,

You could type your text into Word Art, then rotate the Word Art object.

    Cheers,
