I once registered with Microsoft to allow me download some image files and downloaded Office as some form of CD Image which I could install from
However, I've no idea now how I did that and have never used it since.
Now I have had to reformat a clients PC that had Office 2007 Basic on it, I have the Product ID Key Card but where do I get the software from ???

This is news. Up until just a few days ago people were downloading 2007. Here are a couple other links to try

You can download older versions of Office from this link, all the way down to Office 2007. Not just ANYONE can use the link and get a copy, you must provide a valid Office key that will activate the download link. No need to buy a install CD or whatnot, just go here and input your key and download away!!! :)

I would suggest removing this response as it is wrong. It is also misleading. Microsoft will be supporting this software for years to come.
