Access 2010 Navigation Control - Master Child subform linking

I have a master form with the access 2010 navigation control holding a bunch of subforms.  I want the subforms to be linked to the masterform.  I drag and drop my subforms into the nav control but the linked field options in the form properties that normally appear are not there.  If I drag a subform on the master form the linked field properties do appear.  Somehow this feature is not possible in 2010 or I am doing something strange ... Any ideas ??

Everyone ... I think I see ... Navigation Control is sub standard, its the tab control that allows you to add subforms and have them master child linked.  What a shame ... the Nav control looks and works quite nicely ... but this very simple feature which is missing.  So whats the point of the Nav Control ??  Very strange.

Gina, thanks for the reply, how else do you get forms to appear in the navigation pane if you don't drag them on ??

I am having the same issue where my pages within the navigation control are not linking together to identify one single record, it keeps going back to record one.  What is the where clause you added??

Actually its quite weird ... if I create a brand new form, add a data source and drop a single field on the form, then drop the nav control on and add my subform by draggin and dropping, and then edit the nav button and add a where clause. pointing back to the field on the form it appears to work.

However if I use a pre built navigation form with tabs across the top and go through the exact same process it doesn't work.  Something very strange going on here.

I would not expect it to work dragging it around the Navigation Pane.  The only way I would expect it to work is by dragging it to the subform.  SoI am not sure why you thought it would work that way...
