Missing subscript and superscript icons on ribbon and quick access bar choices

I have called microsoft technical support and received a "Not Resolved" message back.  I have found that the superscript and subscript icons are not available on either the ribbon or the quick access bar options.  I was told a macro would need to be written.  Can someone help?  In addition, I've recently found that the less than"<" and greater than ">" icons are not availabe.  I've only had 2010 for a week, how many other icons are missing that were on previous versions of Excel?

Just in case you are not aware: select character(s) and use CTRL with + to subscript and CTRL+SHIFT with + to superscript. best wishes

In Word 2010 I open the customize QAT dialog; in the drop down I asked for all Caommands; scrolled down to the S's and found both sub and superscript icons. These are now on my QAT.

Yo, the quickest way I've found to do the sub/superscript is to highlight the text in a cell that you want to change, press Ctrl + Shift + f (open font window), press Alt + b (subscript) or Alt + e (superscript), press Enter.

Once you do it a couple times, your fingers start to get it.

    Highlight Text,

    Ctrl + Shift + f,

    Alt + b,

    Enter.

Or Alt + e for superscript.

There has been several updates to Office and still no way to add often used Subscript & Superscript button to the ribbom or quick access toolbar.

MS are you listening at all to user feedback????

Why is it that your help is so convoluted that it can't take an easy question such as adding a superscript character or subscript character without formatting the whole cell and everything in the cell? I would hope that a few people did not just decide that "I don't use it so we do not need to add it then just take it out because I am sure no else will need it either.". If that was the decision then God help us all. Is there a simple and easy way to ADD AN ICON not superscripting the everything in the cell and I looked in all commands and it isn't listed in there where the **** is it then? Hidden away so no one can easily access it? Is it some twisted game you guys play so you can laugh at people that ask for this to be common? By the way, your help is worse than 2003 and that was even bad. Let me know where it is hidden so I can add it in.

In my version of Excel 2010 there is no subscript/superscript listed in the commands so I cannot add to  either the ribbon or the quick access bar.  It is available in word and outlook.

So is there no way to add it in Excel?  I gues we are stuck with the control/shift+  or r/click shortcuts.
