How do I stop an Access query once it is running?

    Sometimes, but not always, pressing Ctrl+Break will stop it.

    And a lot of times you have to just keep holding it down until it gets to a point where there is a processor break in there.  Sometimes it can take a while of doing so and then there are those times where, as Bill says, it doesn't always work.
