When adding Meta Tags--Keywords, should I add a space after each comma or just let it run on with no spaces?

In Publisher 2003, before publishing my website to the web, when adding keywords to Meta Tags, do I add spaces after the commas that separate the key words?

If I look at the source code of most any page that uses keywords, then they and/or the phrases are seperated by a comma and spaces. It is from that observation that I made my conclusion.

In practice your keywords may have little to do with SEO in today's world and the Description may be more important. Search Engine Optimization is a big broad open ended subject...

Thank you, DavidF, for the answer.  In GoDaddy's Search Engine Visibility, when I type in keywords for MetaTags, they leave out the space after the comma.  So, I was curious which way I should do it in Publisher.  I did it your way and hopefully my website will be search engine visible soon.
