I am using MS Project 2010 and when I change a task to calculate Earned Value based on physical percent complete (instead of percent complete)  the earned value (BCWP) goes to 0.  Any suggestions?

The following is not a workaround instead it is just something I tried. And you can try it as follows:

    • Apply EV table to the view and insert Earned Value Method, Physical % Complete, % Complete fields.
    • Assuming you've already changed the setting to Physical % Complete in Options dialog box, just make sure it is all set to Physical % Complete for all the tasks in Earned Value Method column.
    • Overwrite all Physical % Complete cells with the original values and see whether BCWPs change or not. Pls check the timephased values as well.

In short, I guess we need to enter Physical % Complete values after changing the settings...

Please provide feedback whether it works or not. Pls also check this thread as well: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-NZ/projectprofessional2010general/thread/2907b2ad-0645-49e6-8baa-29617e760b0e

    Is this still a problem?
