Creating a "two-circle" Venn Diagram in Office 2010?

Creating Venn Diagrams:  The process in Office 2010 is as follows -- Insert tab -- Illustrations -- SmartArt Graphic -- Relationship -- Select Venn Diagram.  Why in the world is there not a template for a "two circle" Venn diagram? Is that not the most basic one and a fundamental aspect of the function of using Venn diagrams?  Can a two-circle one be added?

Ah, but even the three-circle default diagram doesn't have that text box in the overlapping area.  Either Microsoft doesn't use a "standard" Venn, or the standard Venn does not include a description of the region of intersection.  Take your pick!

P.S. - Microsoft's "smart" art:  not that smart.

Insert a Venn Diagram, right-click on one of the circles, and select Cut.

Eric: other purveyors on the market do provide the three "text boxes" for a two circle Venn diagram. Perhaps you are right, Microsoft's "smart" art may not be that smart.

Eric, I tried this but then one does not have a "text box" in the overlap area to enter information regarding the most crucial part of a two circle Venn diagram -- the overlap area.  Using your suggestion results in both of the remaining circles having  text areas, but not the overlap area.
