A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
If you want to scan a document make it editable text, as well as scanning you have to peform "OCR", Optical Character Recognition. It is typically a 2 step operation. The scanner creates an image file copy of the scanned paper. Then you have to feed it into an OCR program. In 2010 OCR is built into OneNote. After scanning, copy the image file into OneNote. Then right click on the image and select extract text. You can now paste it into Word.
